Iowa: New rules for written alcohol testing policies go into effect
July 1, 2018
On March 28, 2018, Governor Reynolds signed House File 2383. The new law requires employers to include in their written alcohol testing policies a standard for the minimum alcohol concentration needed to fail a test. The standard cannot be less than .02, expressed in terms of grams of alcohol per two hundred ten liters of breath, or its equivalent.
The new law becomes effective on July 1, 2018.
