Delaware: New sexual harassment law goes into effect
January 1, 2019
On August 29, 2018, Governor Carney signed House Substitute 1 to House Bill 360. The new law applies to employers with four (4) or more employees. It establishes a definition of sexual harassment and when employers may be liable for it. It also requires employers with 50 or more employees to provide sexual harassment training to employees every two (2) year. Other requirements and limitations apply.
The new law becomes effective on January 1, 2019.
